A dessert for princesses and lovers, I'd say. But you know, it can also be a simple - and a touch fancy - pleasure for your weekend.

There are several ways to make this dessert - the consistancy and taste will vary accordingly.

You need:

* soft pears

* rose tea/rose petals, rose water

* almond butter (white or brown), or macadamia butter

* optional: cardamom pods

* optional decoration: cacao nibs or grated chocolate

1. You can bake or poach the pear. If you bake it, you can spray some rose water on it afterwards and sprinkle rose powder or rose petals on top.

2. You can make rose tea (with or without cardamom) or dip the pears in rose water.

RECIPE

In a saucepan, warm up some water (just enough so that the pears will be covered) with a tbsp of dry rosebuds and 2-4 cardamom pods. Bring to a boil.

Meanwhile, cut a pear in 4 and remove the stem.

Place the pears in the saucepan and let the tea simmer for 10 minutes or until the pears have softened.

Remove the pears, put on a plate or in a sieve before dressing up the final plate. You can still spray some rose water on top.

Now place the pears on a plate, sprinkle almond butter on top, crushed rose petals and cocoa nibs.

Enjoy as is or adapt to your liking!
